A while back, Lauren and I went to a little coffee shop in downtown Winston-Salem. While we were there we saw lovely little electric scooters and ever since have been practically dying to ride them.

So this weekend, we finally had the chance!

The scooters were super cheap and they actually went way faster than what either of us were expecting. They also asked us to wear a helmet, but we kinda ignored that part, regardless neither of us got hurt. So we spent an hour just riding around the city.

We met some other teenagers who needed help unlocking the scooters and saw tons of very cute dogs (my personal favorite part).

This was a super simple and cheap thing to do, but it was a whole lot of fun. Her and I both agree that riding those scooters was the most fun we've had in a while and for anyone that's interested, there's an app called Veo to help you find them.

A quick little clip of Lauren scooting down the street.

But surprisingly, I don't actually think that the scooters were the reason for our good day. We spent multiple hours together, so the scooters really made up for only a very small portion of our day.

People don't realize how much fun it is to just be with your friends and do random little things together. We could've walked throughout downtown and had the same amount of fun.

Thanks to the school closing, Lauren and I have a lot planned for the next two weeks. These ideas are smaller, but we're both looking very forward to them.

We're happy to be sharing our journey with you and we hope you come back next week for another update!
