It's been a while. We've been taking these past few weeks to catch up on the aspects of this project that needed to be wrapped up before we could create a final product. We've been doing some last minute ideas, filming, and editing. Today we finished editing and now we have a final product to show for it! Figuring out the technical side of editing the whole thing together was a little tricky, but we had a vision of what we wanted it to look like and we were able to execute it (mostly). It isn't the most professional job, but we are proud of it. Watching the footage back and seeing months of memories and laughs made me feel so happy. It was kind of emotional to see all the footage of Allie and I at school, drinking hot coffee in first period, tripping up stairs, walking the hallways, and laughing while eating our packed lunches in the cafeteria. I miss those days more than I realized. Seeing all that footage of the two of us together made me nostalgic for a time that was only a few months ago.

Allie was accepted to the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, so she will be completing her junior and senior year in Raleigh. I'm so proud that she has such an amazing oppurtunity, but I can't shake the feeling that nothing will ever be the same. Because of that, the footage we have collected for our final product is really special to us. As this project and our sophomore year come to a close, we want to thank you for reading along and keeping up with this journey. It's been a blast for us to film and it's surreal that we've made it to the end already.

We hope you'll take some time to watch our little film. It brings a smile to our faces each time we watch it back. We may be finished with Genius Hour, but the Idea Journal is far from finished. We will continue to write our ideas down from miles apart and we will keep on making memories.
